I had the good fortune of meeting Martha Llano, Beatrice Achieng, and Sarvina Kang last night at World Pulse Live and I was inspired to join this community. I grew up in Portland, Oregon, USA with my American father, Peruvian mother, and two little sisters. I have revived my grandmother's Peruvian fabric business, Silvania, and plan to fund community development and environmental conservation projects in Peru with a percentage of the profits. Silvania is a women's business casual apparel line made with organic pima cotton, my grandmother's fabric designs, and indigenous textile traditions. The first collection will be available in stores on the west coast of the USA in Spring, 2012. I hope to make Silvania a global brand!
