Am a trained journalist 31 years.
Worked with the print media for four years before joining the public relations department.
I come from a family were a lot of women live in the rural areas and their livelihood depends on farming.
Child bearing is the order of the day, a couple could have seven or more children whom they are not able to provide the basic needs for, as a result the girl child stop school, before completing her primary grade and forced into an arranged marriage.
When i visit them during holidays am greeted by poverty which is written whole over their faces. i always tell them that the only method which can be used to break the york of poverty is by allowing the girl child have access to quality education.
