I am 23 years old, a Political Science Graduate and recently completed my post graduation in International Relations. In July 2011, I joined Feminist Approach to Technology(FAT) as a Program Associate. Currently my work involves around reviewing literature dealing with the participation of adolescent girls in STME(science, technology, mathematics and engineering) in secondary and tertiary levels of education. My future endeavors consists of adolescent girls' school intervention project which would include survey and research about the level pf participation of girls in STME subjects and the factors which influence them to divert away from these streams. I feel the administrators and educators in school play an important role in moulding and influencing the interest and participation of young adolescent girls.Through FAT, I have got the oppurtunity, to reflect my concerns on equal participation of women in science and technology and help improve the prevailing conditions with my work.
