About Me:

I am a feminist and an activist dedicated to social justice issues around the glob and currently work as a domestic violence victim's advocate. In college I studied Political Science, Social Work, and Women's Studies and worked as a Research Assistant planning and organizing events on campus. I have been an active reader of feminist and social activist blogs for about a year now and have recently discovered a passion for expressing my activism through writing. I know I have a lot to learn around the topic of journalism and am very excited for this opportunity!

My Passions:
human rights and animal rights
My Challenges:
working with people and expressing myself in a passionate way in writing
My Vision for the Future:
raising awareness about human rights abuses such as domestic violence and implementing more system changes to protect victims
My Areas of Expertise:
violence against women
