I am grateful to have an opportunity to communicate with women around the world.
It has been my life's ambition to form relationships with others across the world, to learn of different cultures, and to support those who are struggling to live a healthy and productive life of their own.
When I was a child, I had lofty ideals and aspirations of doing the type of work I now do - but it took years to "get to it". Like so many others, I allowed day-to-day life to get in the way of my dreams and goals. Many years have passed since I penned in my pre-teen journal:
"......when I grow up, I am going to visit as many countries on this planet as I can, because I want to learn about how other people live. I want to know what they think, how they feel and why things are so different for them".
I am now committed not only to providing service, love an humanity to my brothers and sisters around the globe, but to empower young people to identify their own ideals before their own busy lives "get in the way". By exposing high school students to other cultures, and to the grave issues facing our world neighbors today, I hope they will venture into their college years with their eyes wide open, and a mind for humanitarian work.
I am the founder of a nonprofit organization - Spark 540° - which offers a program for teens that guides them toward self awareness and social responsibility.
Teens identify their own unique talents, passions, interests and skills and then learn how to use these gifts to help others.
Being a Spark teen means creating a plan of action to ignite a positive change in the world.
Spark 540° is a company I am proud of. We are igniting sparks of compassion and ambition in the lives of many, and setting the world on fire!
Teens inspire other youth, and before long - it's a chain reaction of love and hope!
I look forward to learning about the lives of the women in this online community of sisters, and perhaps meeting many of you in the future!
