Dear all

Together with Terre des Hommes, Keeping Children Safe has produced new guidance for those reporting from the World Cup to safeguard children.

This resource is being promoted to all journalists, photographer and film crews in Brazil. It is important to raise the voices of children but this should always be done in a safe and professional way.

This new guide will help journalists to interview and record children's opinions in a safe and professional way, while adhering to Keeping Children Safe's child safeguarding standards. The short guide is available in English and Portuguese.

Please distribute this guide to any contacts reporting from the event.

The guidance is part of a Terre des Hommes project Children WIN to collect evidence and increase awareness of direct and indirect effects of Mega Sporting Events to mitigate risks and enhance opportunities for children. Check out the website for the latest films and reports from Brazil

Kind regards

Sally Warren
