'Taking Root: the Vision of Wangari Maathai' available in Indonesian, Russian, and Chinese!

This inspiring documentary film about the first environmentalist and the first African woman Nobel Peace Prize winner is available in three new language versions to support grassroots environmental work/community empowerment around the world. Through a generous grant, these DVDs are available free of charge to organizations working with marginalized groups in target areas of Indonesia, the former Soviet Union, and China/Taiwan.

(Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, Arabic, French and Kiswahili versions are also available for this work in Latin America and Africa.)

The film covers Wangari Maathai's life and work addressing deforestation with tree planting and connecting issues of food security, water, human rights, corruption, post-colonialism and peace.
