there are many social entreprenuers and networkers wishing to make a dfference in the lives of women and Girls. I thought I could share this wonderful site that pulls resources for grassroot projects. Betterplace.org is about ordinary people doing extraordinary acts of service and development. In December 2008 our mamma's Goat project http://www.betterplace.org/projects/411 got a donation from individuals who wanted to touch the lives of women in Lungalunga Kenya. being a beneficiary, I believe that this is a way of bringing change with a bottom -up initiative. I recomend this site to all who seek to make a difference

My organisation really needs support and donations. i have to join this.

I have a vision that for our campaigh of rasing our voices to be successful in my country, so many women and girls dont have access to internets,even the educated ones.Many more are in the villages that are not even educated talk less of having access to internet. therefore there is need for awareness campaigh to let these less priviledge girls and women have the knowledge of the potentials in them as women. it is going to cost a lot of money. I will need a lot of support to embark on these program. I dont know if there is anything this site you are introducing to us can do on this.

I understand thatfundraising is a great challenge for social entreprenuers and non profits. It is impowrtant for use in Africa to mobilise local resources if Africa has to develop. The site I introduced does not do direct funding it is a nework for those who have projects seeking funding and those who want to fund. It may be worth it for you to log in and introduce your organization, programs or projects and if there be people who want to partner with you they will do so. it is easy to follow through just viist the site and try it

Betterplace is a great network of men and women like you nad me who want to make a difference. My organizations project mammas goat project was fully funded by people of good will and the support for other projects is great people are sending in help from where they are an little by little making the world a betterplace. I encourage you to participate

Thanks for that .for its very encouraging.how ever we are also having a small brick layers association for single mothers so ass to be able to up lift our children . in our project , we end up using children to fetch water and also assist in the mixing of water with soil forming mud which we cover for about 2-4 weeks and then ready for the bricks.we also call upon the entire society to give a hand cos its not an easy piece of work.
