Empowering Women in Afghanistan

I found this piece on the New York Times website. It's extremely hopeful and I'm hoping we can find ways to help support the efforts of this woman in Afghanistan.

Thanks

Wendy:

I just watched the clip. Thanks for sharing. It is great that NY Times showcases the areas of Afghanistan that are making leaps and bounds like Bumiyan.

Step by Step and the Mainstream

Hello Wendy,

Thanks for the connection. I made me think of song by John McCutcheon called Step by Step, The Longest March with a refrain "can be won." While I am always saddened that the existing power structures are so entrenched and fearful, every day we make steps. Step by step we march toward peace and equality. And like Jenna, I am very glad that it was shared in main stream press.

In Friendship, Dave...
