Assisting Youths At Risk - Living in Broken homes & single parent families

As young Caribbean women, we must put forth more than an extra effort to make our stories known and make our voices heard. Being a woman, there is always an inferior stigma attached so therefore, being 'young' also makes it even harder. Our Caribbean Islands are so small and we often are viewed as individuals taking a back seat in comparison to the much larger countries. As a Caribbean Youth Activist who lives on minimum wage but continues to fights to save our youths from a life a gang, crime and violence and also to assist our youths in poverty, the road can become challenging at times. A forum such as this, I hope to meet and share my stories with everyday women with extra ordinary stories so we can assist and motivate each other in our leadership work that we continue to put forth in our respective countries and/or communities so we can continue to make a difference in the lives of others
