30 Days for Water

Coming soon: 30 days of Water Fundraising for Moldova - a pilot project to be launched in two villages from the Republic of Moldova: Stefanesti and Lunga.

Water issue is one of the biggest existing problem in the small Village of Lunga, which caused many diseases among population. Just imagine people with buckets of gas instead of water. What about children? What about years of this problem and its effect on the people.

Olesea Fortuna, Open World Program Country Coordinator in Moldova, and World Services of La Cross, of the United States came up with the idea to Organize a Fundraising and innitiate some pilot projects on water rehabilitation through 30 Days of Fundraising for a healthier water in Moldova.

To read about the existing situation in Lunga village visit the link: http://www.worldpulse.com/node/14773.

With worldwide support we will try to bring healthier water to these two villages.

For 30 days World Services of La Cross will be posting stories from Moldova on this issue. The xpectaition is to raise at least 1000 USD for every story.

To begin with, this Saturday, May 8, 2010 we are hitting the road to two beautiful places in the Northern Part of Moldova: Stefanesti and Lunga. The purpose is to interview as many people as possible on water issue and take as many pictures and videos with useful data so that we can use it later in the 30 Days of fundraising event organized in the United States by World Services of La Cross.
