Literacy, learning and open education
Promoting reading and writing can not be over emphasized. Technology provides the means to reach many more learners and support those who teach these learners.
But literacy alone is only a step toward broader education and lifelong learning. Through the generosity of many world class academic institutions and dedicated individuals, knowledge is readily available to those with internet access and a desire to learn.
Sharing information is the first step to empowering those who wish to participate.
