Earth: Transforming Energy
Welcome! This group is for those of you believe the health of our planet is inseparable from our physical health and our health as a society. This is for those of you who are concerned about humanity's toxic relationships with the natural world and who have a vision for a healthier planet and more sustainable ways of being.
We want to hear your voices. Are you an activist in your local community? Do you know someone who is? What are the biggest challenges to the health of our planet? Are there local solutions? Where do you draw your inspiration?
The theme for the next issue of World Pulse Magazine (to be released in early 2010) is “Earth: Transforming Energy.” This issue will be broadly focused on environmental and sustainability issues. We hope that your journal entries and dialogue within this community will help bring forward visionary voices, illuminate the most pressing environmental issues, and inform the content of the magazine.
WHERE TO START:
We invite dialogue on any and all environmental, sustainability, and land use issues. We especially encourage discussion around resource issues (oil, mining, and other extractive industries, along with land rights and resource conflicts). We want to hear your perspectives about global issues but we also want to know what issues are most salient in your local community. Post to this group to join the discussion!
There's no right way to contribute. Use this space to share your stories, post an introduction, a photo, or information about your organization—whatever you'd like!
