Need: Domestic Violence

I am an international student living at my relatives place because Sydney is too expensive, now you might be thinking if its that expensive, how did I afford my university fees. right? WELL, I did not pay it, my uncle did who lives here and called me here with the agreement that all my fees would be paid by him and whatsoever. 2 months after I came here, his act of being my so called grand father dropped and he showed his true intentions towards me and sexually harassed me. THRICE. I am STILL living at his place because there is nothing I can do as I dont have a job, I dont have the courage to tell my parents because they are too proud of me of being an international students of one of the recognized universities of the world.
I have talked to about 13 organizations and explained my story to them, they all listen but then never suggest a solution, its heartbreaking. I am not going back without getting my degree, not because ''I' want this degree, but because I want to show my uncle his worth by standing on my own feet and trust me I will stand on my feet IF I get litttle just little support. I am sure the world is not too poor to financially support me even a bit. I want to raise money for my university and then once I know I dont have to reply on him for my university second semester fees next year, I can even report him to the police which I havent yet because I would be blocking my option of getting my second semester fees paid by him IF GOD FORBID, I am unable to make any other arrangements.
I am new here at world pulse, I dont know how this works, but I need atleast ONE of you to talk to me and tell me they support me. I am sick of digesting it all in without getting support from anyone.

I support you!

Dear Sania,

I am so sorry to hear this. This is a terrible situation and my heart goes out to you. While World Pulse does not have direct support services to help your situation, we do have several community members who have posted international resources on domestic violence and sexual assault. Here is a link to one such post with several resources listed:

And here is a link to our gender-based topic page where members can connect around this issue:

We also have an Online Safety and Security Toolkit with information on how to protect yourself online:

I commend you for your determination to get your degree and your bravery in facing this situation. Please take care of yourself as you are the one who knows your situation best.

You will be in my thoughts,

Emily Garcia
