Need: APPUI A LA CONSTRUCTION DE DEUX CENTRE POUR ALPHABETISATION DANS LE TERRITOIRE DE KABARE AU SUD KIVU EN R.D.CONGO

Need: SUPPORT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO CENTERS FOR LITERACY IN KABARE TERRITORY IN SOUTH KIVU DRC

The repeated wars in D.R. CONGO and especially in the South Kivu Province, specifically in the neighboring towns of Kahuzi Biega National Park (KBNP) are subject to destabilisation of the surrounding community which today is trying to recover and have a normal life after loosing everything (agricultural tools, livestock, no proper field and more). Thanks to the calm observed these days, ALPPROSO / South Kivu has targeted and is following up with some households. Priority issues have been identified for instance the increase of population poverty, lack of schooling, illiteracy, ...

As said above and added the multiple needs of people from Kabare, it is necessary for Congolese citizens to support activities aimed at effective integration into society.

That is why ALPPROSO / South Kivu strives in this area of empowerment so that these harmful conditions plaguing this population can be dealt with. It is to that extend that feelings will be expressed and self-sufficiency activities will be reinforced for the future, coupled with non-formal education. The results of a socio economic study show that 70% of the population is illiterate and 52% ARE WOMEN AND GIRLS.

It has been 4yrs that the association ALPPROSO / South Kivu has dedicated itself, body and soul to community accompaniment in Kabare territory through the project of empowerment and literacy for adults and youth with rudimentary means.

And so, we are sending alarms to any person, agency, development organisation to figure out how these activities can be sustained. They are already in place thanks to ALEF / SWEDEN (Adult learning and empowment fund).

Please, first support the construction, in long lasting building material, of two literacy centers (3 rooms each) for a minimum of USD 17,000

Cher Desire,
