Offer: Women Leaders in Family Planning and Reproductive Health Workshop

The Health Policy Project (HPP) is implementing a multi-year capacity development activity to strengthen women’s roles and voices in defining country priorities and promoting host-country support for FP/RH. The initiative includes a formal training, south-to-south coaching, and small grants to women leaders in order to enhance their leadership, technical and strategic advocacy skills.

On July 14 – August 1, 2014, HPP will host the third Women Leaders in Family Planning and Reproductive Health Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. Women FP/RH champions from the public, political, civil society and private sectors in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Uganda are eligible to apply.

This message is to request your support in disseminating the attached workshop application to qualified women leaders who work directly or in partnership with your FP/RH projects in the six countries. Applications must be received no later than April 25, 2014.

HPP core funding will cover the majority of costs for the participants and there are limited full scholarships available. While HPP is asking sponsoring agencies to contribute roundtrip airfare and $1000 to offset the cost of hotel and meals during the 3-week workshop, this should not be a deterrent to qualified applicants.

Please contact either Anne Jorgensen anne.jorgensen@planusa.org or Sue Richiedei sue.richiedei@planusa.org if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your help in getting the application in the hands of qualified women leaders!
