Need: Calling all Superheros!!!

I am collecting the stories of empowering women from around the world for a school project and I need your help!

My mission: To inspire young girls by showing them real role models

Your task: If you know a woman (including yourself) who you would like to nominate as a hero, role model, or inspiration please leave a comment below
- name your nominee
- briefly describe why you consider her a hero
- include an email address or facebook contact info for you and your nominee (with their permission)
I will use these stories to create an art project that I will share with my community and hopefully online.

*Note: message me privately if you do not want to disclose your contact info in your reply

What a great idea!!

Jennifer Faith West

Jenny successfully escaped her life-threateningly abusive marriage earlier this year after a two-year battle. She accomplished this while confronting the false Christian/religious doctrines that keep so many battered women from seeking help or even believing that escape is possible, and as a result she made it through with a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God despite the fact that she was taught he would not approve of her getting a divorce and she would lose his presence in her life if she did. She is already helping other abused women in her own community, has written a book about her journey to freedom, and has begun writing a blog at to spread her message of hope while she works to get her book published. She's also the loving mother of two teenaged boys, a brilliant ER nurse, and a surfer.

You can find her here at World Pulse as Jennifer Faith. Please message her and she will be happy to connect with you on Facebook. I will message you with our email addresses.

She is a single mother living off social grants and small monthly earnings. She is a proud mother of two blessed boys, who sometimes have to stay home to look after her, because she is usually sick. Her older boy, now doing grade 8 is now the man of the house since their father left them without any money or food to leave off. She had to hustle and get money to pay for her children's school fees and also satisfy their wants and needs............with her older son's help by finding piece jobs after school to manage his transportation fees and lunch money. She never gave up though, no matter how bad the situation got, she still found a way around the whole struggle.

Unfortunately, she wanted to remain anonymous..........I just wanted to nominate her for her bravery and endurance.
