Need: Circos for Women Weave the Web Campaign

World Pulse would love to make an infographic using Circos to track the amazing voices contributing to our Women Weave the Web campaign. Is there an expert in Circos out there who would be willing to volunteer his or her time to help us to create a visual aid for our report on all of the crowdsourced wisdom we've gathered during the campaign?

If so, please contact the Leana Mayzlina, Digital Action Campaigns Manager at leana@worldpulse.com or message her at her World Pulse homepage, LeanaM.

Thank you!

Hey Kelly-
What a great idea! Love those circular graphs. Wondering if we could contact the developer and see if they could directly help with this, donating their time, etc. I can private message you with further thoughts. I hope we get some responses here!

[for reference to those using Circos: "If you are using Circos, please cite us: Krzywinski, M. et al. Circos: an Information Aesthetic for Comparative Genomics. Genome Res (2009) 19:1639-1645 | download citation"]

best to you-

Let us Hope together-

Wish I could be of more help...

I'm sorry I don't know anyone who is well versed in this software. I do think contacting the developer is a great idea. If he can't take the time to help (he is a genome researcher, after all) he might be able to refer you to someone else who can. Meanwhile I'm totally intrigued by Circos and hope to find time to familiarize myself with it at some point in the near future. I love the idea of turning a dataset into an easy-to-digest infographic...in the round!! That could wind up becoming an important educational and social media campaigning tool, and simply by virtue of being round, it has a more feminine appeal (or should I say it would appeal to the right brain of anyone. Maybe both apply equally well). Thanks for turning me on to it!
