Need: Kisumu Children's Rescue Center and World Aids Day Marathon, Kenya
With the Kisumu Children's (and Women's) Rescue Center, we aim to create a new model for dealing with the issue of Orphans (mainly from HIV/AIDS) and Vulnerable Children (OVCs). In this transitional home, counseling, health care, proper nutrition, education, mentorship, love and placement relocation become the focus. We are seeking donations, 100% of which are tax deductible and go directly to the construction of the center (every penny!). I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to be managing this project and see that your donations are well allocated. For the whole month of November gearing up to World Aids Day, I've teamed up with the Kisumu World Aids Day Marathon founder to donate HALF of what I raise for the center, to purchase medications to be given to over 1,200 orphans during 3 dinners leading up to the race. One dose of malaria can save a life, and with just $20 you have the power to directly save lives all during Thanksgiving weekend. Your donation will serve an immediate need while also supporting a cause which will create a long term solution. I hope you will join us!
And if you know any doctors and nurses who can donate their time please pass this along!
Thank you all for reading!
