Offer: Video storytelling course offered online [India]
Here's a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wants to learn to tell compelling stories via video.
Communications professionals, bloggers and students can apply for a full scholarship to take the six-week course.
9.9 School of Communication and the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) are offering “Video Storytelling – A Hands-on, Interactive Online Course.” It will run from Dec. 2, 2013, to Jan. 10, 2014.
The course is designed for anyone who wants to learn to tell compelling video stories. The program will cover the basics of shooting and editing a video story. The instructor, an Emmy Award-winning video journalist, will provide one-on-one mentoring. By the end of the course, participants will know how to produce a compelling report that combines video, sound and storytelling.
The best participants will win a week-long coaching session with a video collaborator for The New York Times’ India Ink.
To participate, you will need Internet access and a simple video camera or phone/device with video and audio capabilities. The application fee is INR1,000.
The deadline is Nov. 25.
