Need: LA PROMOTION DE LA CULTURE ET DU SAVOIR -FAIRE, DES COUTUMES PRONANT LA PROTECTION DE L'ENVIRONNEMENT EN REPUBLIQUE EMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO

L'humanité doit à tout prix reconnaître le savoir-faire, la culture , les connaissances et notamment les coutumes de nos ancêtres qui prônaient de leurs manière la protection de l'Environnement.
Nous estimons que ces derniers ont beaucoup travaillé; ils ont beaucoup refléchi, ils ont investi à travers plusieurs restrictions dans la protection de notre environnement.
Grâce à leurs savoir et savoir -faire, des fôrêts contenant d'innombrables faunes diversifiées ont été protégées. Des rivières très poissonneux bien gardés, lesquelles ont contribué aisément à la sécurité alimentaire, grâce à la production halieuthique suffisante.
II. COMMENT CELA S'EST-IL PASSE EN REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO ?

En république Démocratique du Congo, nos ancêtres savaient élaborer leur propre calendrier de chasse. Certaines espèces faunique ne pouvaient pas être consommées. En certaines périodes de l'année, ils savaient que la faune devraient se reproduire d'où, la chasse était prohibée
Certains arbres ne pouvaient pas être abattus. Certains herbes pouvaient être utilisées pour chasser les esprits malsains. D'autres par contre, endémiques pouvaient guérir certaines maladies D'où, l'idée de Protéger la Nature existait déjà au sein de la société traditionnelle congolaise.
III. BESOIN DE LA RECHERCHE

L'Action pour l'Education Environnementale, Genre et Développement Durable au Kivu sollicite des appuis pour identifier toutes les coutumes, savoir, savoir-faire, connaissances ancêstrales congolaises qui prônaient la Protetion de l'Environnement.
Le resultat de la recherche aboutiront à la campagne pour la vulgarisation de ces instruments de protection

The Promotion of the Culture, Know-now, and Customs Which Advocate for Environmental Protection in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Humanity at all costs must recognise our ancestor’s knowledge, their culture, and especially their customs which advocate in their own way, the protection of the environment.
These ancestors of ours have worked a lot, have thought a lot, and they have put in a lot of effort by way of the restrictions they employed – all for the protection of our environment.
Thanks to their knowledge and know-how, the forests bursting with diverse animal life have been protected and the rivers full of fish have been well looked after. These have easily contributed to the food security, and resulted in sufficient fishery production.
How has this happened in the DRC?
Our ancestors knew how to develop their own hunting calendar throughout the year. Certain types of animals could not be consumed. During specific times of the year, they knew that a species must reproduce – meaning that hunting it was prohibited. Likewise, certain trees couldn’t be cut down. Some herbs could be used to drive out evil spirits. Others on the other hand, could cure endemic diseases. From here we can see that the idea of protecting Mother Nature already existed within the traditional Congolese society.
The Need for Research
The Action for Environmental Education, Gender and Sustainable Development in Kivu seeks support in identifying all of the ancestral Congolese customs and knowledge which advocate environmental protection. The result of this research will lead to the campaign which will raise the profile of such age-old techniques.
