Need: Volunteers to support Congolese Refugees in Kenya
MY MISSION IS TO CARE
A PROJECT OF THE CONGOLESE REFUGEES
Brother Alembe Asukulu is a full-time and part-time volunteers, dedicating their his lives to helping the underprivileged and disadvantaged of society.
To enhance the quality of life for all the communities we serve in Kabiria village especially individuals who are vulnerable and desperate.
To invest time and effort in educational development as well as provide innovative training programs, empowering recipients to gain competency and to realize their full potential. The projects focus on helping the refugee families and the economically marginalized in various ways.
As volunteer I have made it the mission in life to put caring into action, co-operating with those we work with by being motivated, transparent and reliable.
I empower refugees, families, individuals and needy people by giving hope to those whose daily struggle is survival.
Steps study course: approved by the ministry of education, this character building course instills positive, godly behavior in children of our church; builds self esteem and enables kids to deal with the different hardships they encounter daily.
We help organize and participate regularly in free medical camps which render quality Medicare to disadvantaged communities. Great effort goes into raising awareness of the needs and conditions in poor areas which lack medical care, proper treatment and sanitation.
About 30 families – including refugees – benefit from our current weekly feeding program.
· Staple food like maize, rice and beans are distributed to children and families in the slum areas of Kabiria.
· In Kabiria I volunteer with difference schools which provides food assistance as well as social support geared towards the refugees students.
The beneficiaries of this project are the refugees families and children's refugees from the Democratic republic of Congo (D.R.C) living in Kabiria village of Nairobi, members of our Community.
