Need: Sheros Needed!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by here. I am currently working with a rural community in Lagos Nigeria on girl-child education, teenage pregnancy and women empowerment.

One very fascinating aspect of this project is the 'Meet A Shero' section. Here, we introduce women, home and abroad worthy of emulation to these girls via electronic media or preferably live appearance.

Shero is the term we use to describe and ordinary woman who has done something extraordinary, more like the male equivalent of a Hero.

For instance, a woman who has broken all barriers to acquire some education is a Shero, a woman who has risen above domestic/sexual abuse and decides to speak out against it is a Shero!

Sharing your stories and experiences motivates these girls in no small way, they feel connected to women around the globe and it gives them a sense of belonging.

Anxious to read from you all.
