Need: Any WordPress gurus here?

I am creating a web magazine, using WordPress (because it is free), and I am confused about what template to use. I would like the site to have multiple pages. On the additional pages, I would like visitors to the site to be able to comment on each post and not the page.

A non-cluttered look on the Home page as well, would be desirable.

I would appreciate some help on this.

I have been using WordPress for some years now and I believe I am pretty good at handling it to do what I want.

Most of the templates (themes) allow you to do what you have outlined.
It's the settings which you have to fiddle with to bring up multiple pages and dictate on commenting on posts or pages.

mine is
I have several pages and allow commenting on pages as well as posts. But it can be easily changed.

The trick is to explore with different looks. You can swap from theme to theme quite easily. It takes sometime to get it ready for your satisfaction. But when it is done, posting articles will be a piece of cake.

The theme will depend very much on the subject area of your magazine, whether you want to have more images than text or more text than images, etc etc.
I quite like the following themes though:
- The Columnist
- Albeo
- Regulus

Let me know if you need help with anything specific.

I looked at MindBlur and the pages have one post each so I am not sure if they would do the comment per post thing.

I am going to play around with the three themes you gave me (Just realised I kept calling them 'template' in my post). Then get back to you about them.

thanks for following :)

Hi Rebecca,

On my blog only one post appears per page because I have set it that way. It's done through the reading options in the settings. You can have up to even 15 post on every page.
My 50 most recent posts are listed on the left so that any reader if they wish can click on any of it.

Everything is pretty flexible over WordPress. :)
