Offer: Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition: world online competition open to students ages 3-18 (Deadline: April 22, 2013)

"We're looking for the world's future green leaders.

Why are we hosting this competition? We know there are many students doing amazing work to support our environment all over the world. This competition is our way of being able to highlight your green projects with the rest of the world.

Submit a 2-3 minute video telling us what you are doing to make a positive difference in your community.

Entries close on Earth Day, April 22, 2013. The winners will be announced on June 5, 2013. Good luck!

The Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition is your chance to tell the world why you care about the environment and what you are doing to be the change you want to see in the world. You could win a one year scholarship to Green School in Bali, Indonesia!

Howw to Apply:

> Step 1. Tell Your Story
To enter the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition, simply submit a 2-3 minute video telling us who you are, where you are from, and highlighting what you are doing to help the environment. Parental permission is required and parents are welcome to help. The competition will close for entries on Earth Day, April 22, 2013, and the winners will be announced on World Environment Day, June 5, 2013. Good luck!

> Step 2. Think Locally, Act Globally
You care about your local environment and are taking positive action in your home, school, and community. Let the world know! Inspire other students to be green!
Share (or have your parents share) the link to your Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Video on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube and ask people to vote for you and support your education at Green School Bali.
By sharing your story, you may inspire other students in communities from far reaches of the globe to do something similar. If they see what you are doing to help the environment, they will know that they can do it too.

> Step 3. Think Globally, Act Locally
Start a local campaign!
Tell your local newspaper, radio, TV stations, school newspaper, friends, family, neighbors, teachers, and community groups about your participation in this global competition. They want to know so they can support you! Encourage your local community to join you in your environmental endeavors and vote for you to win the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition. You can download a sample News Release here, add your personal information, and then send it to your local media outlets, schools, government offices, and local businesses.

Eligibility:
The Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition is open to individuals age 3-18 who would be eligible for admission into Pre-K Geckos through Grade 12 in August 2013 or January 2014 at Green School Bali (Entrants must be at least 3 years of age by September 1, 2013 for an August 2013 start and by February 1, 2014 for a January 2014 start. Entrants must be due to graduate from high school no sooner than June, 2014).
To enter the competition, go to www.greenschool.org/greeneststudentonearth and follow the instructions provided to register and create a free account.
Once you have done this, your parent or guardian will receive an email from Green School with instructions on how they can give their consent for you to participate.
Parental consent is a requirement of all entrants. Green School must receive parental consent for you to participate before you are eligible to submit an entry.

Video Entry Requirements:
You may submit your Video Entry any time during the Open Call for Entries, March 5-April 22, 2013. The Video Entry must be a 2-3 minute YouTube video set to public view, including the following:
Introduce yourself and say where you are from.
Answer the question "Why are you the Greenest Student on Earth?"
Tell us about a green project or activity that you are working on to benefit your community and the environment. "
