According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “Investing in health systems—especially in midwife training and in making emergency obstetric care available round-the-clock—is key to reducing maternal mortality”, yet more then 58 countries lack enough qualified midwives to provide timely access to skilled healthcare for mothers and infants. Midwife International trains midwives who are equipped to work in resource-constrained regions where maternal and child mortality is high and the need for professional midwives is greatest.
Midwife International partners with established clinics and professional midwives to provide leadership and midwifery training opportunities abroad. While each host site offers a unique educational experience, students are connected internationally through a shared curriculum that combines hands-on skills training with book study and service projects — fostering leadership and personal growth.

- Global Midwife Program: A 1-year program that combines midwifery clinical experience and book study in one of our partner clinics abroad. Students can participate in for up to 3-years: www.midwifeinternational.org/midwife-training
