Offer: Universities of Bordeaux: Workshop type of the Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3

Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 University Workshop launched a proposal to colleagues and student of the universities of Bordeaux and academic institutions members of the PRESS to present their research on the genus at the 1st forum: "The Genre appears at the University", as well as to debate on gender equality actions at the University and the fight against discrimination related to gender and sexual orientation/identity.

Conferences, debates, controversies on 23 October 2012, Pessac, France. The genus workshop of the Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 is made up December 12, 2011 for recognition of the gender in the University. It's objective the valorisation and dissemination of studies based on the recognition of the gendered nature of the Organization of human societies, building social and symbolic of the categories of gender and gender relationships.

The study of the gender relations affects all aspects, practices and representations at work in our societies: political, social, cultural and symbolic. The workshop also poses a critical look on the conditions of production of science and knowledge, as well as the modes of operation of the University, either in its administrative organization, in education (training and institutionalization of the disciplines) or research (multidisciplinary approach).

In the election of the four councils of the University of 2012, the genus workshop supported the requirement of a true parity and an ethical Charter on equality women/men.

An organizing Committee is set up. It will select the proposals that must be addressed to Laurence Mullaly and Yves Raibaud, ateliergenrebordeaux3@gmail.fr before 15 September 2012.
