Bureau of Egyptian News (BEN) – Project Director
The Project Director manages a 5-6 person production staff who produce regular news packages, special reports, and long form content for two of the top television stations in Egypt.
The Project Director is responsible for heading up all operations for the BEN initiative in our Washington, DC office, including supervision of day-to-day operations, managing and maintaining a steady production schedule, serving as the editorial director, and acting as main liaison with the senior production teams at the Egyptian partner stations. The Director oversees the production process and schedule, including monitoring deadlines and output for news reports on issues important to an Egyptian audience each week, along with occasional live shots and long form stories. The Project Director also manages in-studio and documentary productions for visiting journalists from Egypt and works closely with partner stations.
Director of Development
America Abroad Media is currently seeking a strategic and experienced development professional to join their team in the role of Director of Development. Reporting directly to and working closely with the President, the Director of Development will play a critical role in the growth of this dynamic and high-impact organization by spearheading and overseeing all efforts related to fundraising and development. Specifically, the Director of Development will craft an ambitious and strategic development plan for the organization and lead a team of two staff to execute against that plan. This organizational leader will also play a key role in the organization’s leadership, collaborating closely with communications and program staff, as well as other senior leaders.
Senior Radio Producer
America Abroad Media, located in Washington DC, is seeking a Senior Radio Producer for its nationally distributed (PRI) public radio documentary series that provides in-depth analysis of international affairs.
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual with strong radio production and journalism skills, who enjoys working with strong, talented hosts in a fast-paced, deadline focused environment.
The Senior Radio Producer reports to the President/Executive Producer and handles major pre- and post-production responsibilities from conceptualizing topic treatments, drafting scripts, formatting the program, identifying interviewees, screening and pre-interviewing, to editing and overseeing the final mix of the program.
The candidate should be skilled at conducting research, interviewing guests, gathering audio, writing scripts, and coordinating the logistics of a radio report/feature story.
Web Manager
America Abroad Media (AAM) seeks a creative and entrepreneurial Web Manager to play a critical role in the organization's growth by spearheading and overseeing all efforts related to AAM’s online communications activity.
