Technical Manager: Disability Inclusive Development

• Help build capacity and evidence base in the Asia Pacific region

• Specialist technical advisory and quality standards role

• Melbourne based. Two year contract with the potential for extension

The CBM-Nossal Institute Partnership, established in 2008, is a collaboration of CBM Australia and the Nossal Institute for Global Health, an operating arm of the University of Melbourne. The Partnership undertakes research, develops capacity and provides technical advice to international development partners on best practice disability inclusiveness. The Partnership has contractual relationships with NGOs, disabled persons organisations, donors and research and educational institutes in the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager you will manage all technical aspects and quality assurance to deliver disability inclusive development advice, evidence base and capacity development. As a senior manager, you will also contribute to the coordination and development of the Partnership. International travel through the region will be required.

You possess technical skills, knowledge and significant experience relating to the incorporation of disability inclusiveness concepts in international development projects. You’re committed to the principles of the International Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, have excellent communication skills honed in a cross-cultural setting and hold relevant tertiary qualifications.

...having two 'differently-abled' brothers myself, I am such a proponent for community-inclusive opportunities. Well, I would be even if I didn't have my brothers. I hope and pray that someone very capable and compassionate responds to this plea.
