The International Rescue Committee (IRC). Kinshasa, DR Congo.
Scope of Work:
Since 2002, IRC has been responding to gender based violence in the Kivus, with bases in Goma and Bukavu. IRC’s WPE program in DRC seeks to address both the immediate and long-term needs of survivors of sexual violence, as well as the concerns of vulnerable women and girls. The program aims to:
Improve survivors’ access quality and essential health, psychosocial, and legal services;
Improve community support to women and girls affected by conflict;
Promote the protection of women and girls through the application of and adherence to policies and international standards.
The WPE Program Advisor will provide regular on-site monitoring visits and continuous support to the WPE teams in DRC to ensure that all interventions are technically sound, take into account international best practices, and are appropriate in meeting the needs of Gender Based Violence survivors and affected communities. The WPE Program Advisor reports directly to the WPE Program Director.

Advanced degree in public health, social work, public policy or another related field.
At least five years of GBV or development programming experience, including three years overseas management in GBV, protection or humanitarian program.
Exceptional sector-specific technical skills and knowledge.
Ability to design and deliver training.
Demonstrated skills and experience in complex program design and monitoring.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
Ability and interest to work with a diverse and multicultural team in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner.
Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
Experience with information management systems and data analysis a plus.
