Its flagship product, the Global Peace Index, is seen as the world’s leading measure of national peace and today is referenced in over 1,300 books and academic papers. Additionally, the Institute develops new conceptual frameworks to define peacefulness; uncovers the economic relationships between peace, business and prosperity as well as promoting a better understanding of the cultural, economic and political factors that drive peacefulness.

IEP Research Fellow
Full Time, Sydney
IEP Research Fellows conduct research on topics related to the Global Peace Index, peace economics, development studies and peace and conflict studies. This includes writing, advanced statistical analysis, participation and leadership in the dissemination, communication, and presentation of IEP research findings both domestically and internationally. Ideal candidates will have a deep interest in peace and development issues, be open-minded to multidisciplinary approaches in the social sciences and be well-travelled.
