Need: BASIC EDUCATION FOR UNDER PRIVILEGED KIDS IN NORTHERN NIGERIA

Nigeria is currently on the global focus due to the consequences of lack of basic education and poverty experienced by majority of the children in the North. Join us in this humane effort in making education available and affordable for these populates which of course is geared towards changing the orientation emanating from this region. Donate materials, fund or give us your technical support in our school project targeted at providing basic education to the children of the North and promoting peace in Nigeria.
Through personal effort the first phase of a Nursery / Primary school building in BOI SARKI a small village near SULEIJA (Near Abuja) is past its foundation level. With your support we can go beyond this and even further!

HI MATT, What a great

HI MATT,
What a great initiative! Could you provide more information about your projects goals, objectives, main activities, who it will serve, and what exactly you need to get it up and running? The more information the better, as it helps other members make more informed decisions about whether or not they can help you and the next generation of Nigerians. Good luck, and keep us posted on how things are going!

Dear Breese,
I wish to thank you for your interest in my project. It is good to know that someone is listening at last. The objective of the project is to provide basic and affordable education to the less privileged and destitute children (Commonly called "Almajiri") in a rural community known as BOI SARKI after SULEIJA a major town in Niger State of Northern Nigeria.
With the help of my husband who is an officer in the Nigerian Military, the land has been purchased and building of the school has commenced past foundation to the window level. When completed the project will serve the needs of the Almajiri kids that require basic skills and a brighter future. This in turn will curtail the rise in the involvement of youths in terrorists acts in Northern Nigeria.
SULEIJA of recent has been in the news on several occasion following the spate of church bombings and terrorist acts carried out by a group of Islamic militants in Northern Nigeria called BOKO HARAM -Meaning the forbidding of Western Education. Investigation has shown that part of the remote cause of this situation includes the lack of basic skills required for profitable engagement for the rising number of Almajiri's in Northern Nigeria. Recently the Nigerian Government in its own effort to curb the security threats caused by BOKO HARAM has proposed the establishment of 600 Almajiri schools in Northern Nigeria. The President himself has commissioned a prototype Almajiri school in Sokoto State of Nigeria this week.
Mine is a private initiative at its creative stage (Name not given yet) hence we solicit for foreign partners and or technical support in this area as part of a stake holders effort in encouraging education in Northern Nigeria.
Currently, our needs in this project includes donation of any kind i.e Teaching aides for skills acquisition and class room teaching, school building materials, funding and teaching support in terms of human and material resources.
We are looking forward to hearing from and receiving your prayers and support in this humane venture.
