Need: Call for Art - Deadline June: 1 FGM: Experience, Resistance, and Change
FreeMoMA is a Museum of Miniature Art that seeks works by visionary and activist artists. Please read more about the museum's vision on freeMoMA.com.
For it's first exhibition to open in the fall of 2012, FreeMoMA is accepting submissions of miniature art on the subject of female genital mutilation. Emphasis is on experience, resistance, and change. Works may be in any medium but must be six inches or less in any direction. Video, sound, or animation must be ready to view on artist-provided player (such as ipod).

Jpegs must be 600 pixels on longest side. You may send up to three images.
Email video and sound art as Quicktime files under 10 MB.
Email your artist's statement pertaining to this work as rtf or pdf file, no more than 500 words.
Accepted works will become part of freeMoMA and will not be returned.
If pieces of art are sold, all proceeds will be donated to activist organizations currently working to end the practice of FGM.
