Need: Looking for information or contacts regarding CHILD BRIDES

I am writing a report on the global issue of child brides. I am focusing on the forced early marriages of young girls in developing countries and the negative effects that marriage has on the girls and their communities. It is a violation of human rights and I am very interested in learning the reasoning behind the traditional practice of premature marriage. I understand that there are reasons for parents to force their young daughters to marry, but living in a Western society, those reasons are difficult for me to grasp. I want to know about the history of child brides, the actions being taken by international organizations, and possible solutions to this problem.
