Scholarships are available for young journalists from Europe and the Middle East to attend a social media conference in Egypt.
Nationals of the EU-27 and Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey can apply.
The Euro-Mediterranean Academy for Young Journalists (EMAJ) seeks participants for “Social media in a changing world," a 10-day training course featuring sessions and expert lectures in new media, journalism and intercultural dialogue.
Journalists and photojournalists ages 18-35 with at least two years' experience at print, radio, TV or online outlets are invited to apply. Participants must have solid English language skills.
In inter-regional teams, participants will confront each other’s different views, approaches and cultural backgrounds, working together on a common story to be published in a special edition of EMAJ Magazine.
All costs related to the event will be covered, including travel, accommodation and meals. Apply by February 22.

what happens to West Africa?
what happens to West Africa?
Good question!
Hi Tina,
I am not affiliated with this program, just heard about it and thought that World Pulse community members from these regions might be interested in this great opportunity. So unfortunately, I cannot answer your question about which regions were selected for participation and why.
There are some other great opportunities which include applications from West African countries, listed in the Resource Exchange. Check them out! Hopefully there are some that spark your interest.
