Pui Rhuixia in NingxiaRise of the Phoenix is a documentary that explores the changing roles, rights and status of women in 21st century China against the backdrop of a sexist culture. The compelling stories of four women from diverse social and economic backgrounds, bore witness that gender equality is often fought for, not given.
