Offer: Book Project! From Docs to Dior: Around the World in 100 Women

Hello!

I want to put the word out on World Pulse that I am currently working on a book project titled, 'From Docs to Dior: Around the World in 100 Women'.

I am 'recruiting' 100 Women Leaders/Change-Makers from around the world who would be interested in being featured in a book about feminism and fashion.

The book, which will be a combination of interviews and photography, is intended to be fun and educational in nature, to be shared with women across generations and backgrounds. It will showcase a diverse range of women across professions, cultures, and ages, but all of the women featured will have at least two commonalities: they will be leaders in their own right and, through their personal style and a desire to make fashion choices that communicate who they are as individuals, will demystify the claim that “fashion” and feminism” cannot be conjoined.

If you know of a woman (or women!) who you believe would be a great fit for this book, I hope you will share the application form with them, which may be found here: http://www.femfash.com/around-the-world-in-100-women/.

Thank you so much, in advance, for your support, and if you are interested in being involved with this project in any capacity, please do let me know!

All my best,

Jackie

P.S. If anyone is willing to translate this application into their own language, that would be very much appreciated!

Dear Jackie Thank you for

Dear Jackie

Thank you for sharing this wonderful opportunity to us on World Pulse! I would like to recommend a Cambodian woman, Phymean Noun, she is an CNN Hero 2008. She is amazing.

Love,

Sarvina from Cambodia

Thank you, Sarvina!

Hi Sarvina,

I appreciate the recommendation! Just to be clear, I will need more information:

1) What makes her a good candidate for this project, specifically? (i.e. I have heard about her and know that she is a great leader, but there is a fashion element to the book as well; do you believe that she fits into both angles of the book?)

2) Do you know her personally and have her contact information?

3) Did you plan on filling out the application form as her "nominator" on her behalf?

Thanks!

Best,

Jackie
