Vital Voices Global Partnership seeks a Program Coordinator that will participate in the implementation of several Vital Voices programs in the Global Leadership Network (GLN). The GLN Department serves the women leaders who have participated in Vital Voices initiatives through regular outreach, program development, support of their work and promotion of continued collaboration between the leaders and the organization. The role entails work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with international women leaders in the fields of human rights, economic empowerment and/or political and public leadership.
Specific Responsibilities Include:

Partner with development & engagement, regional and issue area teams to coordinate in-country mentoring and leadership training programs. This entails designing the program in collaboration with local partners, developing program and briefing materials, and managing travel and logistics.
Assist in monitoring program impact and implementation of activities
Compile regular program reports.
Work with communications team to capture and articulate program success stories
Coordinate with GLN Program Officer on preparation of funding proposals, including organizing and compiling material, writing and editing.
Assist in the development of programming and services to offer members of the GLN.
Support members of the GLN through regular outreach.
Participate in the organization of annual events bringing together members of the GLN, both in the US and abroad.


Minimum 2-3 years experience as Program Assistant/Associate or equivalent position.
Specific knowledge and experience working on network development, women’s issues, project management and/or stakeholder relations.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and editing skills.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Grant writing, proposal development and proposal leadership skills a plus.
Demonstrated cultural sensitivity required.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Consistent history of working positively and collaboratively with others inside and outside the organization, at all levels.
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Self-starter, highly motivated and proactive.
Demonstrated maturity to work successfully in high-pressure situations with good humor and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelors Degree required – significant coursework in international relations, management or related field a plus.
Foreign language skills a plus.
