Offer: New Community on StirringtheFire.org
www.stirringthefire.org has a new community where you can connect with those who are passionate about empowering women and girls.
You can share resources, ideas and stories with individuals who are striving to make a difference. By creating an account you can automatically save opportunities you find to study, intern, and volunteer abroad in our “Take Action” database.
Use your journal to inspire others to get involved by sharing your volunteer story or why you feel gender equality is crucial. By browsing the journals of community members you can find motivation and learn from their experiences.
You can follow Emily, Stirring the Fire’s fellowship recipient, as she connects her volunteer work with the International Rescue Committee in San Diego with her upcoming trip to help establish a new girl’s school at an orphanage in Kenya. Or learn about organizations focusing on gender equality from Stephanie and Ashley, Stf student advocates, as they report about the change agents they recently met with in Zambia.
We have created this online space to make it even easier for you to tailor your avenue to contributing toward gender equality. To join us just visit www.stirringthefire.org and click on “Log-In”.

Fantastic Lagos! Since our primary goal is to encourage volunteerism, we have a database of women's empowerment organizations. Please feel free to add yours here: http://stirringthefire.org/take-action/organization-application
