We are one of North America’s leading international development organizations that works through volunteers.
About the Partner:

This placement is within the framework of the Education Program’s priority of implementing the Child Friendly Schools Policy and is also the first step in a strategy to integrate National Volunteering into the Program. National volunteering in Cambodia is focused on local community volunteers. This is the beginning of something new – national volunteering in Cambodia- and an exciting opportunity to help shape things for the future. It is an exciting placement as it also offers the chance to be a member of a team continuing the implementation of the “Mainstreaming Inclusive Education” (MIE) project in Cambodia.
The Volunteer's Role:

The overall aim of the placement is to improve community involvement in the education process. This is a two way process - the community supporting the school and the school supporting the community.

The initial focus of the placement will be to establish new Student Support Networks (SSN) in a number of primary and secondary schools. The overall aim of the SSN is to support students to make the transition from primary to secondary school and to improve the achievement of students at the secondary school level.

Degree in a related field (eg. Social work, education)
