Need: Call for submissions: What Does Equality Mean to You?

In April 2012, Equality Now will celebrate 20 years of working with our partners to end violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world. In honor of that upcoming milestone we are excited to launch our 20th anniversary “What Does Equality Mean to You?” PSA campaign!
From September 20 through March 20, grab a camera, your phone, or your laptop and tell us: what does gender equality mean to you? Selected videos will be featured on www.equalitynow.org/me and our social media sites. The best overall submission will be presented at our 20th anniversary gala event on April 19 in New York City!
We hope you will take part in our 20th anniversary campaign: watch the PSA, share your own video, and spread the word to your friends. We will feature new videos on a rotating basis, so check back to the site often to see what gender equality means to people from around the world! With your support, the next 20 years will bring us ever closer to a world in which women and men have equal rights under the law and full enjoyment of all human rights.

Equality means fairness
Hello,
Equality means alot to me. A time to reflect the actions we do for others.When you deny a woman love that is inequality,when you deny them access to health care,safe deliveries,conraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancies,that is acts of inhumanity and calls for attention.No woman should die looking for services that need to be given at her village.When women are even dictated how to dress,speak,sit and even what to think is inequality,unconstitutional and should be happening in the 21 st Century.

Equality to me means, being able to have the same opportunities in life that is, socially, economically, politically, religiously, among others, regardless of my gender as long as i can utilize it and do great job with it.
This all comes down to the decisions i make in line with my dreams and everything that i want and can be in life, nobody whatsoever should have the authority directly or indirectly, to deny me that.
That to me, is equality and as long as i breath nobody can take that away from me.
