Offer: Institute For Women's Policy Research (IWPR): Status Of Women In The Middle East And North Africa

The Status of Women in the Middle East and North Africa (SWMENA) is a gender-focused multi-year project that evaluates the status of women in three countries: Lebanon, Morocco, and Yemen. IWPR and the International Federation for Electoral Systems (IFES), with funding from Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), have been working toward improving the status of women in the broader MENA region through strengthening local NGO capacity to effectively advocate on behalf of women. You will find Lebanon, Morocco and Yemen topic briefs available in English, Arabic (Lebanon, Yemen), and French (Morocco).

The briefs cover these topics:

Project Overview & Respondent Demographics
Paid Work and Control of Earnings & Assets
Civic & Political Participation
Educational Attainment and Career Aspirations
Women's Freedom of Movement, Freedom from Harassment & Violence
Healthcare Access
Social Attitudes Toward Women
Opinions on Early Marriage and Gender Quotas (Yemen)
Opinions on the Family Law and Gender Quotas (Morocco)
Attitudes Towards Policy Change (Lebanon)
