Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources. By linking local individuals and communities with new ideas and technology, Winrock is increasing long-term productivity, equity, and responsible resource management to benefit the poor and disadvantaged of the world.
Winrock is currently seeking Gender and Social Inclusion candidates for an upcoming five year USAID-funded agriculture and food security program in the Mid and Far West regions of Nepal.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the integration and empowerment of vulnerable groups component of the project.
Work closely with project staff to design and implement activities including training in literacy and entrepreneurship.
Advise on female-friendly farming practices and innovative behavior change methods for men and women.
Ensure that all program activities are gender and socially sensitive.
Qualifications Required:
Master’s degree in international development, political science, other social science, or related fields.
At least 10 years of experience in planning, implementing, and working with various stakeholders on gender and social inclusion.
Understanding of food security issues in Nepal is necessary.
