Offer: Monthly Action Points on Women, Peace and Security - July 2011

MONTHLY ACTION POINTS
ON WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY
SECURITY COUNCIL: JULY 2011
_______________________________________________________

Dear colleagues, The NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security has released the July 2011 version of our Monthly Action Points (MAP) on Women, Peace and Security for the UN Security Council: http://womenpeacesecurity.org/media/pdf-MAP_July2011.pdf

For July, in which Germany has the Security Council presidency, the MAP provides recommendations on country situations including: Afghanistan, Cote d'Ivoire, Sudan, South Sudan, and West Africa and Sierra Leone. The July MAP also points to necessary steps in the Council's implementation of its Women, Peace and Security commitments. About the MAP project: The NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security produces Monthly Action Points, a series of recommendations that show how each United Nations Security Council President can provide leadership on, and how the Security Council as a whole can systematically meet its obligations to women in conflict. These briefs are designed for Security Council Members, civil society actors, Member States, and UN entities. We look forward to your feedback and input. Please distribute widely. All previous MAPs are available on our website: http://www.womenpeacesecurity.org/

Information and previous MAP points on specific country situations as well as NGOWG Member resources are available on our website: http://www.womenpeacesecurity.org/rapid-response/

The MAP for July is available in English, with additional languages forthcoming.

Thanks!

Thanks for your message, Frederica - I'm glad you found it helpful. The report was produced by another organization, called Working Group on Women, Peace and Security. It's open to the public.

Take care!

This is beautiful dear friend.

I have been thinking about something, on how to subscribe and be having updates on all the Resource Exchange (offer/Needs) new post, secondly latest journal post on PW. I remembered during the PW gathering in Kenya, Jensine and our other US PW sisters asked the question; what could else can be recommended regarding the current website.' Now, I think I have an answer for that, I wish to ask you if there is a means to always have email alerts on info posted in this forum. I have subscribed to all email notifications but I observed that it is not all notifications I receive.

I love the resource center so much so that I do not want to miss any post. Breese, this is a task for you I suppose - Is it possible to have email notifications of what is newest / posted in the resource center or in pulsewire.

Thanks

Stay Blessed
