Women Thrive Worldwide, the leading organization advocating for U.S. policies that benefit women and girls living in poverty worldwide, has a job opening for a Manager/Senior Manager, U.S. Outreach, in the Communications and Outreach Department.

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications and Outreach, the successful candidate will manage U.S.-based organizational partnerships and outreach as it relates to mobilizing coalition partners around Women Thrive’s advocacy objectives. They will also represent the organization externally in alliances and coalitions. 


Manage national working group of more than 50 organizations including international and domestic NGOs and faith-based organizations. Chair meetings, design work-plan and material as needed, and define strategic goals for the group.
Design and implement cross-constituency projects with partner organizations to further specific advocacy objectives.
Working with other members of the communications and outreach team, execute targeted national and state-based engagement strategies and tactics around specific advocacy objectives or issues, including events, lobby days, in-state delegations etc.
Represent Women Thrive in external alliances and coalitions. Contribute to work plan, proposal development and project deliverables.
Manage 1-2 interns

Desired Skills, Experience, and Personal Characteristics:

Previous experience with coalition development and maintenance, national/state-based campaign strategy and tactics essential
Must be very comfortable working independently and in teams
Must be familiar with international non-profit sector and have general working knowledge of the issues affecting women and girls living in poor countries
High level of relevant computer-based and online skills
College degree required, with at least four years of work experience.
