The Associate, Millennium Development Goals Initiatives (Every Woman, Every Child) is responsible for assisting with the execution of online and offline communications strategies developed by the UN Foundation to advance the goals of Every Woman Every Child (EWEC), the Secretary-General’s Global Strategy on Women’s and Children’s Health, launched in September 2010 (www.everywomaneverychild.org).
Every Woman Every Child is a global effort bringing together governments, philanthropic institutions and other funders, the United Nations and multilateral organizations, civil society and non-governmental organizations, the business community, health-care workers and professionals, and academic and research institutions around the world. New commitments made in support of the strategy at the time of the MDG Summit total an estimated USD $40 billion. Deputy Director, Girl Up

The Deputy Director, Girl Up provides key programmatic and operational support; manages projects and initiatives; partnerships and communications; reviews and oversees grants and budgets; and helps operationalize activities related to the Girl Up portfolio under the direction of the Director for Girl Up and in collaboration with other UN Foundation staff.
The Deputy Director, Girl Up reports to the Director for Girl Up, is a member of the Girl Up Team and works closely with the Global Partnerships, Women and Population, Public Affairs, and Partnership Development.
