Hello! I'm looking for any really good gender equality training methodologies, approaches, or ideas..... for a gender equality training workshop with both women and men in Swaziland which my organisation (an African conflict resolution organisation based in Cape Town) is holding next month. Have you come across any approaches which really work, are experiential and effective, and genuinely manage to sensitise men (especially!) and women on gender awareness, build bridges of respect between men adn women, and help men realise the damages of patriarchy?.... If so please let me know! Also if you have ideas of very good women's organisations in Swaziland working on these kind of issues?.....Many thanks, and peace. Antonia

Some of the Approaches which you can use are the Gender Analysis Tools; 24 Hour activity profiles, Access and Contol, Opportunities and Constraints and there are other approaches on Bringing men on board.......where you can use the Life Cycle approaches (2 types), Role Reversal, etc....Better still, send your e mail address to me and i iwll send some online resources to you.
