General Summary:

The Mexico Program Officer reports to the Mexico Office Director on all aspects of the Foundation´s grantmaking strategy in the country. Strong candidates will have a proven ability to think strategically, communicate and coordinate with a broad range of players in these fields, while working closely with a small team.

The Program Officer must have a deep understanding of contemporary Mexican issues, sensitivity to and proven ability to manage complex problems, particularly those related to human rights, women, and migration. The incumbent would remain up-to-date on current issues, conduct research, manage grants information systems and reporting on program related projects. S/he would also perform other duties in close coordination with and as assigned by the country office Director.

Mexican nationals will be considered preferred candidates. Travel to the U.S. from Mexico will be required. Candidates must be eligible for the requisite work visas, documentation and clearance.

Office setting work environment. Intermittent physical activities including bending, reaching, sitting and walking during working hours. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable a person with physical disabilities for perform the job.
