Intern, Women’s Empowerment Evaluation Demonstration Project

AfP is seeking a part-time intern to help administer a partnership project with the United States Institute of Peace. The intern's primary responsibility is to assist staff in the continuation of the Peacebuilding Evaluation Project: A Forum for Donors and Implementers. Basic duties include compiling proposals and Monitoring and Evaluation plans, data analysis and drafting external communications for a 6-country demonstration project on Women’s Empowerment programs.
Internship (15-22 hrs/wk) will accommodate a flexible schedule. Internship will start in late April and end in late June, with the option of extending until September 2011.
At least two semesters of graduate-level coursework ● Experience in project documentation review ● Strong computer skills, including administering a social networking site and high proficiency in Word ● Enthusiasm and commitment to the organization’s mission ● Proactive, independent and team-oriented work ethic ● Excellent writing skills and attention to detail ● Professional workplace experience ● Ability manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines ● Knowledge and familiarity with women’s issues a plus.
