Offer: Local Filmmaker needed for short commission in Tobago (14-16 November 2008)
GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR CARIBBEAN FILMMAKER
This an exciting short commission in Tobago for a local filmmaker/camera person from the 14-16 November 2008.
The event is a parliamentary style hearing discussing issues of climate change and energy access for the poor, organised by a UK based NGO.
The person should be confident and able to hit the ground running. The hearing lasts two days and will be a busy and energetic event.
The person will be required to document elements of the hearing, conduct interviews with legislators participating at the hearing and capture scene setting and cutaway shots.
Filmmaker will need some of their own equipment (to be discussed).
Expenses paid, including flight if necessary (from Trinidad or local island) and accommodation and daily rate to be negotiated. This is three days paid work.
Feel free to contact me direct by email (ina@vanishingrites.com) or through Pulse Wire.

Huh
What a neat opportunity. I wish I was a filmmaker living in Trinidad. Good luck finding someone!
I want to hear about the film when you are done.

Great opportunity!
Ina, will you be attending this event? Is this a part of a project with Vanishing Rites? I hope you are able to find someone with such short notice. This looks really interesting!
Best wishes,
Lisa
Thanks for your comments.
Thanks for your comments. It is a great opportunity. I have done the previous filmings- in Kenya and Ghana. But for this one I am attending the AWID conference in Cape Town.
There are some very good local filmmakers there that i have also been in touch with.
Best wishes,
Ina (from Cape Town- very windy day!!)
AWID!!!
Have you met Leah from World Pulse yet? Jensine just arrived in Cape Town a few minutes ago. I hope you are able to meet up with them! I've had a chance to check out some of your films on youtube and I love your work. I'm sure AWID will be a wonderfully hectic experience. Would you report back to us afterwards? I'm always curious to how conferences that are brimming with creative energy re-organize our thoughts and focuses when we return home.
All the best,
Lisa
